The Barmouth donkeys are a feature of the southern end of the beach. They are located at the junction of Beach road, coming down from the train station, and the promenade. If they are there and you have young children, please do give them a go. They are lovely, well trained and contented donkeys and looked after by a very tanned pair we only know as the donkey man and the donkey lady!
From early July and during the summer holidays, donkeys are on the beach most days unless the weather or weather forecast is awful. At the time of writing (summer 2013) it’s £2 for a donkey ride: good value. There is usually also a bouncy castle, trampolines and a pirate ship on offer.
