If you like walking up high and are new to the area, the walks shown on these pages should help get you started. The walks on the sub-pages off this menu mostly start or end at Penbryn Mynach Holiday Cottage, Barmouth. Some walks such as Cadar Idris are slightly further afield. Please feel free to call us about any of the walks shown for more detail.

The walks illustrated are undertaken at your own risk, please prepare appropriately before setting off and take the right 1:25000 scale maps with you. Enjoy!

The routes are shown using an OS OpenSpace licence and the wordpress addin OS OpenSpace Maps.

See the Mawddach trail for a good selection of walks around the estuary. Another good Mawddach walk here.

Here is a map of the New Precipice walk at the eastern end of the Mawddach estuary.
